Campaign Snapshot
Industry: Social Media
Plan: Scale
Status: Completed campaign
Market: United States

Who:
Our client is a stealth-stage consumer social startup building something the internet keeps saying it wants: a social network designed around positivity, connection, and dating that actually feels good to open. Backed by veterans of one of the world's largest social platforms, they were preparing to launch in their first US city, and they knew exactly what a launch like that lives or dies on: community, ready on day one.
Challenge:
A consumer social app can't launch empty. The plan was to recruit dozens of creators before launch: nano and micro creators whose content is genuinely uplifting, each giving a written commitment to join, commitments the team could also put in front of investors as proof of traction. Three problems. Creator outreach is a flooded zone, and creators ignore brand DMs by default. The fit bar was unusually high, a vibe rather than a keyword, requiring manual vetting of every single account. And the founder, who had landed the first handful himself, had a company to build. He needed a partner he could trust with the brand's voice, at scale.
Our Approach:
This campaign ran on a different channel than a standard Submtr engagement. Creators don't have contact forms, so we went direct: DMs and email. Everything else stayed the same, the sourcing, the vetting, and a human writing every message.
Sourcing came first. We built a creator list around the client's world: nano and micro creators in positivity, love, wellness, and local content. Every account was checked by hand for fit before it made the list. No keyword scraping. A person looked at the feed and asked one question: does this creator belong in this community?
Then alignment. The first 10 creators went into a shared sourcing doc for the founder to comment on and approve, so the quality bar was calibrated together before we scaled the outreach.
Then outreach. Each message was written by a person, in the brand's voice, for that specific creator. No bots, no templates. That is how you get past the DM wall: a real message, from a real person, about their actual content. Our team handled every reply, and each creator who said yes confirmed in writing that they would join at launch. Those confirmations went straight into the client's investor deck as traction.
Outcome:
The collaboration clicked from the first round. The founder's message after reviewing the sourcing doc said everything: "I love your work!!" And when we checked in mid-campaign and asked for an honest score, the reply took one minute: "10/10! You're doing great, no notes."
The numbers back the reviews: 33 written creator confirmations secured so far, two thirds of the way to the 50-creator mission, every single one manually vetted against the brand's quality bar before a message ever went out. Each confirmation does double duty: a creator committed to launch day, and a line of traction in the investor deck. These are partnerships that don't just build the community, they help fund the company.
